Privacy Policy
How SPUDZWARE handles information when you use our site, checkout, and hosting panel.
Last updated: August 12, 2026 · Covers spudzware.net and the Spudzware control panel.
1. Who we are
SPUDZWARE (“we”, “us”) provides Minecraft server hosting and related web
tools at spudzware.net and our control panel. This policy explains what
personal data we process and why.
Tacot (tacot.org) is a separate product with its own privacy policy. Data
for that bot is not covered here unless you also use Spudzware hosting.
2. What we collect
Depending on how you use Spudzware, we may process:
-
Account data — Discord user ID, username, avatar (when you log in with
Discord); internal account IDs and plan/subscription status
-
Billing data — plan chosen, amounts, payment status, timestamps, and
limited customer details you provide at checkout (e.g. email or Discord username for order
matching). Card numbers are handled by Stripe; we do not store full
payment card data
-
Server configuration — server name, edition, software, version, RAM plan,
selected plugins/mods/addons, status, ports, and related settings
-
Operational data — console logs, process status, provision logs, and
technical metadata needed to run and debug your Minecraft server
-
World & file data — world files, plugins, mods, and configs you
upload or generate on the host (treated as customer content)
-
Website / session data — cookies or similar for login sessions; basic
request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for security and abuse prevention
-
Ads (free plan) — if you use the free tier, the panel may show house
promotions or third-party ads (e.g. Google AdSense when configured). Those providers may
set cookies or collect device/usage data under their own policies
-
Support messages — content you send in Discord tickets or other support
channels
We do not sell your personal information. We do not run secret mass
surveillance of players beyond what is needed to operate hosting, bill you, and keep systems
secure.
3. Why we use data
- Provide and improve Minecraft hosting and the dashboard
- Authenticate you and protect accounts
- Process payments and prevent fraud
- Deliver support and communicate about your service
- Enforce our Terms of Service and legal obligations
- Maintain security, uptime, and abuse prevention
4. Legal bases (where applicable)
If privacy laws like the GDPR apply to you, we typically rely on:
contract (to deliver hosting you requested),
legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, product improvement in a
limited way), and legal obligation when we must keep records. Where consent
is required (e.g. certain cookies), we will ask.
5. Sharing
We share data only as needed with:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Discord — login and support (their terms also apply)
- Infrastructure providers — servers, DNS, CDN, or tunnels that host the site/panel
- Authorities — if required by law or to protect rights and safety
We do not sell personal data to advertisers.
6. Retention
We keep account and billing records as long as your account is active and for a reasonable
period afterward for disputes, fraud prevention, and legal requirements. Server files and
console logs are kept while you are a customer and may be deleted after cancellation or
non-payment following a grace period. Security logs may be retained for a limited time.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (access controls, session cookies,
restricted data directories, HTTPS on public endpoints where configured). No system is 100%
secure; please use strong Discord security (2FA) and do not share panel access.
8. Your choices & rights
Depending on your region, you may have rights to:
- Access or receive a copy of personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion (subject to legal/billing retention needs)
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
Contact us via Support. We may need to verify you control the
Discord account or email tied to the order. You can also stop using the service and request
account closure.
9. Children
Spudzware is not directed at children under 13 (or the higher age required in your country
for digital services). If you believe a child provided personal data without appropriate
consent, contact support and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
10. International transfers
We and our providers may process data in the United States or other countries. If you use
Spudzware from elsewhere, you understand your information may be transferred to those
locations, with safeguards as required by applicable law.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do.
Continued use of the service after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
12. Contact
Privacy questions or requests: Support on Discord, or the contact
method published on spudzware.net.
